Medvedev Reaches 2025 Halle Open Semifinals
Friday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Friday’s action in Halle, Germany saw former world No. 1 and US Open winner Daniil Medvedev storm into the semifinals, defeating American Alex Michelsen 6-4, 6-3.
Needing one hour and 26 minutes to advance, Medvedev will now await the winner of No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev or Flavio Cobolli from Italy.
Medvedev has struggled to find his form this year and is currently ranked No. 11 in the world.
Other quarterfinal matches that will take place on Friday will include Alexander Bublik and No. 8 seed Karen Khachanov.
Bublik defeated top seed Jannik Sinner in three sets on Thursday, and Khachanov will take on Tomas Martin Etcheverry from Argentina.

HSBC Championships—Great Britain
Czech star Jiri Lehecka continued his hot streak at the Queen’s Club event in London, England on Friday, defeating Jacob Fearnley from Great Britain 7-5, 6-2.
Lehecka will next face either defending champion and No. 2 seed Jack Draper or Brandan Nakashima in the semifinals.
Other matches on the day will seed top seed Carlos Alcaraz go up against lucky loser Arthur Rinderknech, and No. 4 seed Holger Rune taking on Roberto Bautista Agut.
Alcaraz needed three hour and 24 minutes to dispatch Jaume Munar on Thursday.

BERLIN TENNIS OPEN by HYLO—Berlin, Germany
Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova took one step closer to winning the title at the Berlin Open on Friday, defeating three-time Major finalist Ons Jabeur 6-4, 6-1.
Vondrousova will next face either top seed Aryna Sabalenka or former Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina.
No. 8 seed Paula Badosa was forced to withdraw against Wang Xinyu trailing 6-1.
Xinyu will next face either inform American Amanda Anisimova or Liudmila Samsonova for a place in the finals.

LEXUS NOTTINGHAM OPEN—Nottingham, Great Britain
Friday’s action at the Nottingham Ope featured Ukrainian star Dayana Yastremska reaching the semifinals, defeating Canadian Leylah Fernandez 6-3, 7-6(6).
Yastremska will next face either No. 2 seed Clara Tauson or No. 6 seed Magda Linette from Poland.
No. 7 seed Linda Noskova and No. 8 seed Katie Boulter will be in action later today.
