Fritz Wins 2025 BOSS Open Over Zverev
Sunday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Suday’s action at the BOSS Open in Stuttgart, Germany saw No. 2 seed Taylor Fritz capture his first final of the season, defeating No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6(0).
The BOSS apparel ambassador needed one hour and 25 minutes to claim his ninth career crown.
Fritz hit 11 aces, 18 winners and won 88 percent of his first serve points. Improving to 8-5 against Zverev in lifetime meetings, Fritz will next see action at the Queen’s Club event in London, England.
Zverev, who was aiming to win his 25th career title, fell to 1-3 in finals in 2025. The 28-year-old made the finals of the Australian and won the BMW Open in Munich, Germany.

Libema Open—Netherlands
Sunday’s final at the Libema Open in the Netherlands will feature Gabriel Diallo taking on Zizou Bergs from Belgium.
Diallo, who will be playing in his second final of the season, defeated No. 2 seed Ugo Humbert in the semifinals.
Bergs ousted Reilly Opelka from the United States 6-1, 6-4.
On the women’s side, No. 3 seed Elise Mertens captured the title in impressive fashion, defeating Elena-Gabriela Ruse6-3, 7-6(4).
Striking four aces, breaking serve on four occasions and winning 64 percent of her first serve points, Mertens claimed her 10th career title.
Ruse, who was in search of her first career title, defeated former US Open winner Bianca Andresscu earlier in the event.

The HSBC Championship—London—Great Britain
Sunday’s final at the Queen’s Club event in London, England saw veteran German Tatjana Maria win her fourth career title, dispatching No. 8 seed Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 6-4.
Maria, 37, completed her dream week by adding seven aces and breaking her American opponent on four occasions.
Maria had defeated No. 2 seed Madison Keys in the semifinals, and Anisimova had dismissed top seed Qinwen Zheng in the final four.
Anisimova had been aiming to win her fourth career title on Sunday. She claimed the biggest title of her career earlier this year at the 1000 level event in Doha, Qatar.
