Vondrousova Wins 2025 Berlin Open Title
Sunday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova won her third career title on Sunday in Berlin, Germany, defeating Xinyu Wang 7-6(10), 4-6, 6-2 in two hours and 16 minutes.
Striking six aces and winning 71 percent of her first serve points, Vondrousova broke serve on five occasions.
Vondrousova, 25, will move up from No. 164 in the world to No. 73 when Monday’s rankings are released.
She defeated top seed Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals.
Wang, who is currently ranked No. 49 in the world, was aiming to win her first career title. The 23-year-old dismissed recent French Open winner Coco Gauff in the round of 16.

LEXUS NOTTINGHAM OPEN—Nottingham, Great Britain
Sunday’s final at the Nottingham Open in Great Britain currently has American McCartney Kessler leading Dayana Yastremska by a set at 6-4.
Kessler is currently ranked No. 42 in the world and Yastremska is ranked No. 46 on the computer. Kessler defeated top seed Beatriz Haddad Maia and No. 8 seed Katie Boulter en-route to the finals.
Yastremska ousted No. 5 seed Leylah Fernandez, and No. 6 seed Magda Linette to reach the championship round.
Yastremska has won three career titles, and Kessler owns two titles during her career.

HSBC Championships—Great Britain
Sunday’s final at the Queen’s Club event in London, England will feature top seed Carlos Alcaraz going for his 21st career title, taking on powerful Czech Jiri Lehecka.
Riding a 16-match winning streak, Alcaraz has been on a tear as of late, winning the French Open, Rome Masters, and Monte Carlos Masters.
Arguably playing the best tennis of his career, Alcaraz will head into Wimbledon as the favourite to three-peat.
Lehecka, who continues to be a tough opponent on grass, defeated defending champion Jack Draper in the semifinals and No. 5 seed Alex de Minaur in the first round.
Lehecka is currently ranked 30 in the world and owns two career titles.

Terra Wortmann Open—Germany
The championship match in Halle, Germany on Sunday currently has former winner Alexander Bublik up a set on former world No. 1 and US Open champion Daniil Medvedev 6-3.
Bublik has been in sensational form since reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open, defeating top seed Jannik Sinner and No. 8 seed Karen Khachanov during his road to the final.
Medvedev, who has been off form for over a year now, currently stands at No. 11 in the world. The Russian dismissed No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev in the semifinals. Medvedev owns 20 career titles.
