Venus Williams, Shelton, Rune and Osaka Headline Washington Schedule on Tuesday
Tuesday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Tuesday’s action-packed schedule at the Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, D.C. will feature No. 2 seed Lorenzo Musetti, No. 3 seed Holger Rune, No. 4 seed Ben Shelton, Venus Williams and Emma Raducanu on court.
Musetti will face former top 10 player Cameron Norrie, Rune will go up against Alexandre Muller from France, Shelton will square off against fellow American McKenzie McDonald, Williams will return to action against Peyton Stearns, and former US Open winner Raducanu will take on No. 7 seed Marta Kostyuk.
Four-time Major winner Naomi Osaka also plays her first match of the summer hard-court swing against Yulia Putintseva.
Osaka is currently ranked No. 51 in the world.
On Monday, Reilly Opelka, Learner Tien, Aleksandar Vukic, and Ethan Quinn all reached the round of 32.
The women’s draw featured No. 8 seed Magda Linette, Maria Sakkari, Leylah Fernandez and Victoria Mboko advancing to round of 16.
On Wednesday, top seed Taylor Fritz will make his first appearance at the event against Vukic from Australia.
Fritz recently make the semifinals of Wimbledon and won two grass court tune up events leading into the third Major of the season.

Generali Open—Kitzbuhel, Austria
Tuesday’s schedule at the Kitzbuhel event in Austria featured Jan-Lennard Struff, Yannick Hanfmann and Botic van de Zandschulp all advancing to the second round.
Struff defeated Sebastian Ofner 6-4, 6-2, Hanfmann took out Lukas Neumayer 7-5, 6-2, and van de Zandschulp defeated Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
Top seed Alexander Bublik will be in action later this week in his first match against either Jamie Faria or Thiago Agustin Tirante from Argentina.
Bublik recently won the title in Gstaad, Switzerland.

Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag—Umag, Croatia
Tuesday’s order of play in Umag, Croatia will seed No. 3 seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli, Jesper de Jong and local star Dino Prizmic in action.
On Monday, No. 5 seed Mariano Navone, Nikoloz Basilashvili and three-time former winner Stan Wawrinka all advanced to the second round.
Top seed Francisco Cerundolo will face Carlos Taberner later in the week.

Tuesday’s busy schedule in at the WTA event in Prague, Czech Republic saw No. 4 seed Wang Xinyu, Leolia Jeanjean, Katerina Siniakova, Tereza Valentova, Barbora Palicova, and Jessika Ponchet all reach the round of 16.
Top seed Linda Noskova will face Anastasia Gasanova later today.
