In a match that lasted one hour and 39 minutes, Eala struck one ace, won 52 percent of her first serve points and broke her opponent on eight occasions.
Looking to win her first title this week, Eala will next face No. 4 seed Jessica Pegula or former US Open winner Emma Raducanu for a place in the final.
Eala, who will move up into the top 75 in the world next Monday, continues to prove that she belongs on the main Tour. She also defeated reigning Australian Open winner Madison Keys and former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko earlier in the event.
Thursday’s order of play in South Florida will see top seed Aryna Sabalenka go up against No. 6 seed Jasmine Paolini.
Sabalenka dismissed Qinwen Zheng in straight sets on Tuesday, and Paolini ousted Madga Linette in two sets.
