Zverev Wins 2025 BMW Open in Munich
Sunday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Sunday’s action in Munich, Germany saw top seed Alexander Zverev pick up his first title of 2025, defeating No. 2 seed Ben Shelton 6-2, 6-4.
Showing his prowess on clay, Zverev dominated the match from start to finish and defeated his American opponent in one hour and 11 minutes.
Hitting four aces, 13 winners and breaking serve on three occasions, Zverev improved to 2-0 against Shelton in lifetime meetings and also collected his 24th career title.
The 27-year-old will next see action at the Mutua Madrid Open in Spain.
Shelton, who was looking for his third career title, dismissed No. 5 seed Francisco Cerundolo in the semifinals.

Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell
Sunday’s final at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell in Barcelona, Spain will feature top seed Carlos Alcaraz going up against Danish star and No. 6 seed Holger Rune.
Owning a 2-1 head-to-head lead over his opponent, Alcaraz will be the heavy favourite to capture his second title in row and the 19th of his young career. The Spaniard won the title in Monte Carlo last week over Lorenzo Musetti.
Rune, who has reached his second final of the season, will be aiming to win his fifth career title. The 21-year-old ousted Karen Khachanov in the semifinals. He has lost one set en-route to the finals.

Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
Former French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko reached the finals in Stuttgart, Germany on Sunday, defeating Ekarterina Alexandrova from Russia 6-4, 6-4.
The Latvian star hit five aces, won 68 percent of her first serve points and broke her opponent on three occasions.
Ostapenko will next face either top seed Aryna Sabalenka or No. 5 seed Jasmine Paolini.
Sabalenka is trying to win her second title after capturing the Miami Open, and Paolini will be in high spirits after dismissing No. 4 seed Coco Gauff in straight sets on Saturday.
Ostapenko improved to 6-0 against No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek with her three set victory over the Pole in the quarterfinals.
The winner of Monday’s final will take home a brand-new Porsche and over 140,000 euros in prize money.

Open Capfinances Rouen Metropole
Sunday’s final in Rouen, France will feature top seed Elina Svitolina bidding for her 18th career title against No. 3 seed Olga Danilovic from Serbia.
Svitolina hasn’t dropped a set dropped a set en-route to the finals, and Danilovic has lost a set in every round except for her semifinal victory over Suzan Lamens.
Svitolina and Danilovic have never played on Tour.
