Much like many of the Touring professionals on both the ATP World Tour and WTA, World No. 11 Madison Keys has own share of cyber bullying after suffering a loss.
The American has decided to take a stand against such behaviour by hosting a cyber bullying segment on Tennis Channel. During the segment, Keys discusses the following:
- Keys addresses the abusive tweets she receives following losses, ranging from racial slurs to vulgar insults.
- She touches on how there is no one type of person that sends these messages and that the anonymity of the internet makes people feel invincible.
- Finally, she talks about her work with high schools and lets students know that they aren’t alone when having to deal with cyber bullying.
You can catch the segment today on Tennis Channel at 12pm. Here also a piece of the segment in the following link.
