Western & Southern Open—New York, New York

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and two-time Australian Open winner Victoria Azarenka claimed Western & Southern Open titles in New York City on Saturday.

First up, Azarenka captured her first title since the 2016 Miami Open after Japanese star Naomi Osaka was forced to withdraw due to a hamstring injury. Osaka, whose best surface is hard-courts, aggravated her injury in a two set semifinal victory vs. Elise Mertens. A bet365 bonus code provides all the daily match stats and information a tennis fan needs to stay up-to-date with all the action in the men’s and women’s game.

Azarenka, who won her 21st career title, is currently ranked No. 59 in the world.

Later in the day, Djokovic captured his second Cincinnati title by dispatching Canadian Milos Raonic 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. After being blitzed in the first set, Djokovic broke for a 5-3 lead in set two and never looked back. Improving to 11-0 against Raonic in lifetime meetings, Djokovic also improved to 23-0 on the year. The Serb now owns 80 career titles and will head into Monday’s US Open as the overwhelming favorite.

Raonic, who was aiming to win his ninth career title, fell to 11-5 in 2020.
