De Jong Advances in Bastad; Majchrzak Wins in Gstaad
Monday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Dutch player Jesper de Jong advanced to the second round in Bastad, Sweden on Monday, defeating William Rejchtman Vinciguerra 6-3, 6-2.
Needing one hour and 23 minutes to advance, de Jong will next face either No. 8 seed Vic Kopriva or Hugo Dellien for a place in the quarterfinals.
Top seed Francisco Cerundolo and No. 2 seed Tallon Griekspoor will be in action later this week.

EFG Swiss Open Gstaad—Gstaad, Switzerland
Coming off of a Wimbledon fourth round appearance, Kamil Majchrzak won his first match at in Gstaad, Switzerland on Monday, dismissing Terence Atmane 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
Currently ranked No. 81 in the world, Majchrzak will next face Ignacio Buse from Peru in round two.
Buse dismissed Laslo Djere 7-6(4), 1-6, 6-4 in two hours and 23 minutes earlier in the day.
Roman Andres Burruchaga was also a first round winner on Monday. He defeated Dalibor Svrcina 6-3, 6-1.
Top seed Casper Ruud returns to action this week after an injury he sustained at the French Open. Ruud will be joined by the always entertaining Alexander Bublik as the No. 2 seed.

Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo—Los Cabos, Mexico
First-round action is set to get underway on Monday in Los Cabos, Mexico when Aleksandar Kovacevic, Aleksandar Vukic and Mexican star Alex Hernandez take to the court.
Played at one of the favourite Tour stops during the season, top seed Andrey Rublev, No. 2 seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and No. 3 seed Denis Shapovalov will be in action later this week.
The Los Cabos event is the first hard-court ATP Tour event of the Summer.

MSC HAMBURG LADIES OPEN—HAMBURG,GERMANY
Day 1 action at the Hamburg Ladies Open in Germany will feature No. 6 seed Moyuka Uchijima, No. 8 seed Mayar Sherif and Diane Parry from France in action.
The 250 WTA event will feature world No. 16 Ekaterina Alexandrova and No. 2 seed Dayana Yastremska on court later this week.
Yastremska recently made the third round of Wimbledon after defeating French Open winner Coco Gauff in the first round, and Alexandrova has had a great year on Tour, including winning the title in Linz, Austria earlier this year over Yastremska in the finals.

Monday’s action at the Iasi Open in Romania will feature No. 3 see Ann Li, No. 5 seed Varvara Gracheva, No. 6 seed Jil Teichmann and No. 7 seed Irina-Camelia Begu on court.
Top seed Elina Avanesyan ranked No. 53 in the world and No. 2 seed Jaqueline Cristian ranked No. 51 in the world will be in action later this week.
