Vondrousova Upsets Sabalenka at 2025 Berlin Open
Sunday’s ATP Tour and WTA Results
Former Wimbledon winner Marketa Vondrousova upset top seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-2, 6-4 at the Berlin Open on Saturday.
Needing one hour and 21 minutes to advance, Vondrousova hit four aces, won 67 percent of her first serve points and broke the No. 1 seed on four occasions.
Currently ranked No. 164 in the world, Vondrousova will next face Xinyu Wang for the title on Sunday.
Wang dismissed Liudmila Samsonova 6-4, 6-1 later in the day.

LEXUS NOTTINGHAM OPEN—Nottingham, Great Britain
Dayana Yastremska continued her dream week at the Nottingham Open on Saturday, defeating No. 6 seed Magda Linette 6-4, 6-4 to reach the finals.
Yastremska, currently ranked No. 46 in the world, will next face McCartney Kessler or Rebecca Sramkova from Slovakia in Sunday’s championship match.
Yastremska will be aiming to win her fourth career title on Sunday.

HSBC Championships—Great Britain
Saturday’s semifinal action at the Queen’s Club event in London, England will feature top seed Carlos Alcaraz taking on countryman Roberto Bautista Agut, with the winner facing Jiri Lehecka in Sunday’s final.
Lehecka defeated No. 2 seed and defending champion Jack Draper 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 earlier in the day.
Alcaraz, who has won 16 straight matches dating back to the Rome Masters, defeated Arthur Rinderknech in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
Draper needed three sets to upend Brandon Nakashima in the final eight. Draper defeated Alcaraz en-route to the title last year.
Lehecka will be aiming to win his third career title on Sunday.

Terra Wortmann Open—Germany
Saturday’s stellar semifinal lineup in Halle, Germany will feature No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev facing former US Open winner and No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev. The pair have played on 19 occasions, with Medvedev owing a 12-7 head-to-head lead.
The day’s second semifinal will feature No. 8 seed Karen Khachanov going up against Alexander Bublik.
Khachanov owns a 1-0 head-to-head lead over Bublik. Bublik has been in great form as of late, reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open and defeating world No. 1 Jannik Sinner earlier in the week.
