Zverev Wins Paris Masters Title; Shnaider Claims Hong Kong Crown
No. 3 seed Alexander Zverev raced to his 23rd career title on Sunday at the Rolex Paris Masters in Paris, France, defeating local hero Ugo Humbert 6-2, 6-2.
Needing one hour and 15 minutes to seal his victory, Zverev slammed 16 winners, broke serve on four occasions and hit four aces during the encounter.
Improving to 2-1 against Humbert in lifetime meetings, Zverev will now move back to the No. 2 ranking in the world on Monday. The German star has record an impressive 66-20 singles record in 2024.
He now owns seven Masters 1000 titles. The 27-year-old also won the title in Rome, Italy earlier this year and made the finals of the French Open.
Humbert, who had a banner week of his own, defeated No. 2 seed Carlos Alcaraz and inform Russian Karen Khachanov en-route to the finals.
The Frenchman will be ranked No. 14 in the world when the latest rankings are released.
The Tour will now shift its focus to the the two ATP Tour 250 events in Metz, France and Belgrade, Serbia, before concluding the season at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.

Top seeded Russian Diana Shnaider took home her fourth title of the year in easy fashion on Sunday in Hong Kong, China, defeating No. 2 seed Katie Boulter 6-1, 6-2.
Needing only one hour and 11 minutes to seal her title, Shnaider hit three aces, won 76 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on four occasions.
Never facing a break point during the match, Shnaider concluded her year with a 54-22 singles record. She will be ranked No. 12 in the world on Monday. A career high.
Boulter, who entered the final with two titles in 2024, will end her season with a 36-21 record. The 28-year-old will be ranked at a new career high of No. 23 when the latest rankings are released.
Swiatek Sees First Action In Riyadh
Five-time Major winner Iga Swiatek played her first match since losing in the quarterfinals of the US Open on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The world No. 2 came back from the set down to defeat reigning Wimbledon champion Barbara Krejcikova, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. The win for Swiatek improved her head-to-head lead over Krejcikova to 3-2.
The other match of the day featured No. 3 seed Coco Gauff dismissing good friend and country woman Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-2.
Gauff added two aces and five breaks of serve to her victory.
Monday’s action in Riyadh will see top seed Aryna Sabalenka facing No. 4 seed Jasmine Paolini and No. 5 seed Elena Rybakina taking on No. 7 seed Qinwen Zheng.
