Sinner Wins Beijing Open Title over Tien

Top seed Jannik Sinner needed one hour and 13 minutes to capture his 21st career title on Wednesday in Beijing, China, defeating Learner Tien from the United States 6-2, 6-2.
Hitting 10 aces, winning 77 percent of his first serve points and breaking serve on four occasions, Sinner picked up 500 ATP Tour and his third title of the year.
Tien, who was playing in his first career final, will move up to No. 36 in the world when the latest rankings are released. The 19-year-old defeated No. 4 seed Lorenzo Musetti, No. 8 seed Daniil Medvedev and Flavio Cobolli to reach the championship round.
Sinner will now shift his attention to the Rolex Shanghai Masters, where he will be the No. 2 seed. Sinner will face Daniel Altmaier in his first match of the event.
No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz withdrew from the tournament after he won the Japan Open with an ankle injury he sustained during his first round of the event. No. 33 seed Corentin Moutet will take his place at the top of the draw.
Kartal, Noskova Advance to the Quarterfinals in Beijing
Ladies action in Beijing included Sonay Kartal reaching the quarterfinals, defeating No. 4 seed Mirra Andreeva 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.
Kartal will next face No. 26 seed Linda Noskova for a place in the semifinals. Noskova defeated Anastasia Potapova 6-2, 6-4 earlier in the day.
Top seed Iga Swiatek is currently locked in a third set with No. 16 seed Emma Navvaro. No. 5 seed Jessica Pegula and No. 23 seed Marta Kostyuk will be in action later today.
On Thursday, Eva Lys will face No. 2 seed Coco Gauff for a place in the final four.
No. 3 seed Amanda Anisimova will also be in action against No. 6 seed Jasmine Paolini.
