Previewing the 2023 Babolat Pure Aero

Designed on a successful history in the sport of tennis, French manufacturer Babolat is set to unveil its newest Pure Aero 2023 for Carlos Alcaraz, Leyleh Fernandez and Felix Auger-Aliassime on August 25th. All-time Major winner Rafael Nadal will also receive his own Pure Aero Nadal early next year.

Continuing as the seventh instalment in this world-famous frame, the latest arrival of the Pure Aero definitely has some nostalgia to it.

Here’s your exclusive first look:

Packed with new tech, the Pure Aero 2023 comes in with a more arm-friendly flex point, and the introduction of NF² Technology. This new tech utilizes flax inserts in the handle and upper hoop to soften ball impact. The racquet also updates its FSI Spin technology with slightly tighter string spacing, reminiscent of the earlier generations.

Decked out in new “broken glass” look, the Pure Aero 2023 is featured highlighter yellow, black and white. The frame maintains its 100 square inch head, 11.2 ounce strung weight,  a denser 16/19 string pattern, 322 swing weight and surprising low 65 RA in flexibility.

That said, after speaking with some Babolat specialist, the goal for the latest Pure Aero was to make it play softer and be even more user friendly. With that mindset on deck, the newest Pure Aero 2023 did provide a great amount of comfort and feel toward deep shots on the baseline, yet allowed for different angles to be generated as effortlessly as before.

It’s never an easy task for a top-notch company to take an elite level racquet and make it even better, but Babolat has truly tested their engineers once again with the latest reiteration of the Pure Aero 2023.

String Pattern:

Another standout attribute about this frame will see players and stringers enjoy the following string pattern:

16 Mains / 19 Crosses
Mains skip: 8T,8H
Two Pieces
No Shared Holes

As with the sixth previous Pure Aero models, players will have a great idea of what to expect with the 2023 version. The Pure Aero 2023 will never be a frame that craves control over power, but if you’re looking to take big cuts from the baseline and serve with spin and amp up your velocity, then the Pure Aero 2023 is without a doubt a must-try racket when it hits its global release.

Recommend to pretty much all game styles and levels of play, the Pure Aero will be available in the following models: Pure Aero Nadal, Pure Aero, Pure Aero +, Pure Aero Team, Pure Aero Lite, and Pure Aero Super Lite.

Rafa and Babolat

Look for Rafa Nadal to begin using this frame in 2023 under his own specs. Don’t be surprised to see the Spaniard rocking his latest signature frame during next year’s Australian Open or before.

Let’s us know if you have any questions on the latest Pure Aero as it continues to be one of the highest selling racquets world-wide.
