Rio Open presented by Claro—Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

No. 2 seed Cameron Norrie captured his fifth ATP Tour title on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, dispatching No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.

Defeating the Spaniard for the second time in his career, Norrie avenged a loss to the 19-year-old in last week’s Buenos Aires final. Moving up to No. 12 in the world, Norrie needed two hours and 41 minutes to prevail.

Visiably injured throughout the final set, Alcaraz is still slated to next see action in Acapulco, Mexico next week as the top seed.

Norrie, who remains one of the most consistent players on Tour, reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon last year.

Open 13 Provence—Marseille, France

Top seed Hubert Hurkacz won his sixth career title on Sunday in Marseille, France, defeating Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-3, 7-6(4).

Needing one hour and 31 minutes to seal his victory, Hurkacz struck 19 aces, won 93 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on two occasions.

Never playing Bonzi before on Tour, Hurkacz will stay ranked at No. 11 in the world on Monday.

Bonzi, who was playing in his second final of the season (Pune, India in January), will be ranked No. 45 in the world on Monday.
