(FILA Global) – Over the last half century, FILA has been a part of countless iconic moments on the court, outfitting extraordinary individuals who challenge limits and defy expectations through a seamless combination of power and grace. Since its historic introduction of color to the tennis court in 1973, FILA continues to make its mark on the tennis fashion game.
Beginning in Melbourne, FILA’s top tennis athletes will be dressed in the new Heritage collection. The Heritage story will unfold throughout the 2017 season, as FILA serves up new styles for each major tournament, with apparel that continues to reflect the brand’s rich history in the game.
The Heritage range for women and men features a simple, clean color palette, and a variety of timeless designs. FILA pays homage to its original Italian aesthetic, returning to authentic details from 1970’s FILA tennis. The brand’s signature navy, white and red hues combined with details like windowpane jacquard patterns and knit collars, creates a decidedly modern collection, while still staying true to FILA’s roots.
The Australian Open marks the debut of the Heritage range. FILA athletes including Karolina Pliskova, Jelena Jankovic, John Isner, Marin CIlic, Sam Querrey, and Andreas Seppi, will wear the designs on-court during the season’s first Grand Slam.
