Roger Federer defeatd Stéphane Robert in a second round match at the 2017 BNP Paribas Open.

ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament—Rotterdam, Netherlands

Top seed Roger Federer captured his 97th career title in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Sunday, defeating No. 2 seed Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-2. In a lopsided encounter than lasted only 54 minutes, Federer broke serve to lead 3-2 in the first set and never looked back.

Appearing visibly ill throughout the match, Dimitrov put forth little resistance as the match progressed. Hitting three aces, while winning 83 percent of his first serve points and 80 percent of his second serve points, Federer improved to 7-0 against Dimitrov in lifetime meetings.

The new world No. 1 will next set his sights on defending his titles in Indian Wells, California and Miami, Florida next month.

Dimitrov is next slated to see action at the Dubai Open in the U.A.E.

New York Open—New York, United States

Top seed Kevin Anderson won his fourth career title on Sunday in Long Island, New York, dispatching hometown favorite Sam Querrey 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(1).

In a contest that latest two hours and 13 minutes, Anderson slammed 16 aces and broke the delivery of his opponent on three occasions. Tying his head-to-head with Querrey at eight wins each, Anderson will reenter the top 10 on Monday with his efforts this week.

Querrey, who was hoping to win the 11th title of his career, defeated Adrian Mannarino and Ivo Karolvic earlier in the week.

Argentina Open—Buenos Aires, Argentina

Top seed Dominic Thiem dismissed Aljaz Bedene 6-2, 6-4 to win the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires on Sunday. Needing just over 90 minutes to claim the ninth title of his career, Thiem used his heavy ground-strokes to capture the first set in routine fashion, before needing more patience to finish off the match in two sets.

Continuing to prove that clay is his best surface, Thiem didn’t lose a set throughout the event and will look to keep his form going in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil next week as the second seed.

Bedene, who was aiming to win his first-career title, fell to 0-3 in championship matches.
