Six-time former winner Roger Federer breezed into the third-round of Wimbledon on Wednesday, defeating Fabio Fognini 6-1, 6-3, 6-2.
With Prince Charles in attendance after 42 years, Federer put on a serving performance which included winning 90 percent of his first serve points, striking 13 aces and hitting his biggest serve of the day at 126 MPH.
Slamming 35 winners to only eight unforced errors, Federer continues his dream draw at the event when he next plays either Michael Russell or Julien Benneteau.
Federer, who currently holds 16 grand slams, hasn’t won a major since Australia in 2010.
In other action on Day 3, Andy Roddick, David Ferrer, Milos Raonic, Bjorn Phau, Lukasz Kubot, Ivo Karlovic and Jurgen Melzer all won first-round matches that were carried over from Tuesday.
Players that advanced to round three and were on schedule included top seed Novak Djokovic cruising over Ryan Harrison 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, Serbian No. 2 Janko Tipsarevic, Juan Monaco and Florian Mayer.
