Wimbledon 2015—London, England
No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic defeated No. 2 ranked Roger Federer in four gripping sets to win his third Wimbledon title on Sunday. Claiming his victory by a 7-6(1), 6-7(10), 6-4, 6-3 scoreline, Djokovic hit 13 aces, won 74 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on four occasions. Needing nearly three hours to notch his title, Djokovic now stands with nine Grand Slam titles.
Federer, who was aiming for his 18th Major title, lost to Djokovic for the second straight year in the championship round at SW19.
Both players are next slated to play at the Rogers Cup in Montreal in early August.
