Medvedev lost in three sets to No. 16 seed Alexander Zverev and Hubert Hurkacz easily dismissed Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4.
Elsewhere, Adrian Mannarino advanced past Mackenzie McDonald and Alexei Popyrin needed three sets to reach the quarterfinals over Emil Ruusuvuori.

Top seed Iga Swiatek, No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka, No. 5 seed Ons Jabeur and No. 6 seed Coco Gauff will all be highlighted throughout the rest of Thursday’s schedule.
Friday’s order of play will see all the men’s and women’s quarterfinal matches on court.
