The stars of the tennis scene have returned for a new decade of action on the world’s grandest stages. This year, the women and men of NikeCourt will debut watercolor pallets and cloud pastels curated by local talent.
Created by Australian-raised artist Cassie Byrnes, this year’s Melbourne look is sure to be the talk of the tournament. “I start with a considered palette and story,” she says. “Then I play with mark-making, texture and composition to capture the essence and spirit of the theme.”
Women’s Collection
The women’s will be feature a body-mapping ensemble that is sure to rock Rod Laver Arena.
Featured athlete Bianca Andresscu showcases both the bodysuit look as well as the layered skirt and tuniq option. The Women’s Spring Melbourne Bodysuit offers body mapping sweat zones to keep any player cool during the harshest of conditions.
The rest of the NikeCourt women’s team, led by Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep, Elina Svitolina, Sloane Stephens, Belinda Bencic, Aryna Sabalenka, Amanda Anisimova and Donna Vekic will all be sporting variations of the bodysuit look.
Also keep and eye out for new colors of Zoom Vapor X, Air Zoom Zero and all new Zoom Vapor Cage 4.
Russian Maria Sharapova will opt for her own collection once again, highlighted by the Spring Maria Dress and Spring Maria Tank and Spring Maria Skirt.
23-time Major winner Serena Williams returns with her own custom look as she aims for her 24th title.
Men’s Collection
Inspired by playful ambiance of Australia, hometown favourite Nick Kyrgios will wear the Abstract Melbourne Short, will be paired with the Spring Advantage Melbourne Polo for some of Nike’s athletes. Other members of the team will be highlighted in the Challenger Abstract Crew. Look for Shapovalov, Khachanov, Dimitrov, Auger-Aliassime, Rublev, Fritz and Tiafoe to sport different variations of this kit.
Footwear options for Nike’s top men will consist of the Vapor X and Air Zoom Zero.
World No. 1 Rafa Nadal will be seen in his signature collection, which is will focus on and Rafa AeroReact AO Crew and the Rafa Dri-Fit AO Short. The Spaniard will also debut the all-new Zoom Vapor Cage 4 in Melbourne.
