Top seed Alexander Zverev won his first title of 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland, defeating Chilean Nicolas Jarry 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(8). In a match that was interrupted by rain throughout, Zverev saved two match points against his determined opponent to notch his 11th career title.
Struggling to find his form this year, Zverev improved to 19-10 on the season and 1-1 against Jarry in lifetime meetings. The German lost to Jarry at the Barcelona Open last month.
Jarry, who possesses a big serve and potent forehand, was looking for his first career title.

Frenchman Benoit Paire picked up his second title of the year in Lyon, France on Saturday, defeating up-and-comer Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 6-3.
Needing one hour and 20 minutes to seal his victory, Paire hit seven aces and won 79 percent of his first serve points. Breaking Auger-Aliassime on four occasions, Paire also won the title in Casablanca, Morocco last month.
Auger-Aliassime, who is still in search of his first title, reached the finals of Rio de Janeiro in February.
