The 14 U.S. women advancing to the 2R at the French Open is the most since 14 also did it in 1987. Twenty American women made the 2R at the French in 1986.
The 8 U.S. men to reach the 2R is the most since 2020. The last time more than 8 American men reached the 2R at the French Open was 1996 (9).
