Tiafoe Wins Stuttgart BOSS Open; Griekspoor Captures Libema Open Crown

American Frances Tiafoe captured his first-ever grass-court title on Sunday in Stuttgart, Germany, defeating home-country favourite Jan-Lennard Struff, 4-6, 7-6(1), 7-6(8).

Needing two hours and nine minutes to seal is victory, the athletic American struck 36 winners, hit 13 aces and won 83 percent of his first serve points.

Tiafoe now owns three career titles and will move up to No. 10 (a career high) on Monday.

Losing in the finals of the Madrid Open earlier this Spring, Struff continues to put together his best career season at the age of 33.

Stuff will rise to No. 21 in the world on Monday.

Libema Open—’S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands

Dutch talent Tallon Griekspoor won his second career title at the Libema Open in ’S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on Sunday.

Defeating Jordan Thompson 6-7(4), 7-6(3), 6-3, the 26-year-old captured his second title of the season after winning in Pune, India to start the year.

Striking nine aces, and winning 74 percent of his first serve points, Griekspoor broke the serve of his Australian opponent on five occasions.

Defeating Alex de Minaur earlier in the event, Griekspoor will be ranked No. 29 on Monday.

Thompson, who was aiming to win the first title of his career, will be ranked No. 76 when the latest rankings are released.
