TENNIS CHANNEL’S FAST NETWORK T2 LAUNCHES
ON AMAZON FREEVEE, FUBO
Customers Can View the Sport’s Best Players and Events Live Every Day – for Free
More Access to Matches with US Open Champs Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, Other Stars
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17, 2023 – Tennis Channel’s free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel T2 is now available to Amazon Freevee viewers, and on sports-first live TV streaming platform Fubo in its base Pro channel plan, available to all subscribers. This greatly expands the number of viewers in the United States who have access to daily tennis throughout the year, with live coverage of the top-ranked players and most-important tournaments in the sport.
Introduced in 2022, T2 is Tennis Channel’s second television network, with matches and original programming that do not appear on its sibling channel. Because of the volume of professional tennis any given week – multiple men’s and women’s tournaments; singles, doubles and mixed matches; a variety of courts all day – T2 is unprecedented and unrivaled as a FAST channel that is able to provide top-tier, daily live competition from one of America’s most popular sports. This includes matches played by tennis superstars like US Open champions Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff. Since its launch, T2 has aired more free live tennis to U.S. audiences per year than ever before in television.
Fubo is a sports-first cable TV replacement product that aggregates more than 300 live sports, news and entertainment networks and is the only live TV streaming platform with every Nielsen-rating sports channel (source: Nielsen Total Viewers, 2022). In addition to coverage of tennis and other sports, Fubo also streams popular live entertainment and news programming and features more than 40,000 TV shows and movies on-demand each month.
“We’re excited to work with Amazon Freevee and Fubo to bring live, daily tennis to millions of tennis fans all year long,” said Lee Schlazer, senior vice president, distribution, Sinclair and Tennis Channel. “There’s never been this opportunity for so many Americans to watch the best tennis matches and players in the world every day. We’re thrilled to expand our availability to Freevee and Fubo.”
T2 carries live, different matches from almost all tournaments that appear on Tennis Channel throughout the year. Among these in 2023 were Roland Garros (commonly known as the French
Open and one of the sport’s four major annual events), the BNP Paribas Open, Miami Open, Monte-Carlo Masters, Italian Open, Canadian Open, Davis Cup and the Billie Jean King Cup.
T2 is also available for free on Samsung TV Plus and YouTube TV.
Amazon Freevee is a streaming video service with thousands of premium movies and TV shows, including Originals and free ad-supported (FAST) Channels, available anytime, for free. All FAST Channels available on Freevee can be accessed through the Freevee app, as well as within Fire TV and Prime Video.
