Swiatek Wins Fourth French Open Title
World No. 1 Iga Swiatek claimed her fourth French Open title on Saturday in Paris, France, defeating Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1.
Needing one hour and eight minutes to claim her crown, Swiatek slammed one ace, hit 18 winners and broke serve on five occasions.
Improving to 3-0 against Paolini in lifetime meetings, Swiatek also claimed the prestigious titles in Madrid, Italy, Indian Wells and Doha earlier this year.
Swiatek will now switch her focus to the grass-court season, which begins on Monday. The 23-year-old Pole has yet to win on the coveted lawns of Wimbledon and the All England Club.
Paolini, 28, has been playing the best tennis our her life this past season. Winning in Dubai earlier this year, the Italian will hit a career-high ranking of No. 7 in the world on Monday.

Men’s Final Preview: Alcaraz vs. Zverev
Sunday’s final in Paris will feature No. 3 seed Carlos Alcaraz taking on No. 4 seed Alexander Zverev.
The Spaniard, who will be aiming to win his third Major title on Sunday, trails Zverev 4-5 in career matches.
Alcaraz did win their last encounter 6-3, 6-1 on his way to capturing his lone title of the season at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California earlier this year.
Zverev, who will be contesting his second Major final, lost to Dominic Thiem in the 2020 US Open final.
The 27-year-old owns 22 titles and recently won the Italian Open in Rome.
Sunday’s final will crown of first-time French Open winner.
