Nitto ATP Finals—Turin, Italy
Sinner Defeats de Minaur; Reaches Turin Final
Saturday’s results at the ATP Finals final in Turin, Italy saw No. 2 seed Jannik Sinner improve to 13-0 against Alex de Minaur, defeating the Australian 7-5, 6-2.
Needing one hour and 52 minutes to advance to the finals, Sinner will await the day’s second semifinal between top seed Carlos Alcaraz and No. 8 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Alcaraz currently leads Auger-Aliassime 4-3 in career head-to-head meetings and has won four in a row.
Auger-Aliassime has historically performed better on indoor hard-courts over the Spaniard, and will take that confidence into today’s semifinal.
The Canadian defeated No. 3 seed Alexander Zverev on Friday in straight sets.
For Sinner, he will take a 4-2 head-to-head lead over Auger-Aliassime on Sunday if the Canadian reaches the finals, and a 10-5 head-to-head deficit against Alcaraz if the Spaniard is to progress.
Auger-Aliassime also hit a new career high of No. 5 in the world with his performance this week, and will head into the 2026 full of confidence.
Alcaraz was officially crowned year-end world No. 1 on Friday and will look to cap off his season with the title in Turin and next week’s Davis Cup Finals.
