Latvian youngster Jelena Ostapenko captured her maiden grand slam title in Paris, France on Saturday, defeating No. 3 seed Simona Halep 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. In a match that lasted one hour and 59 minutes, Ostapenko recovered from a 4-0 deficit in the second set and 3-1 hole in the third set to prevail.
