Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship—Houston, TX, U.S.A.

No. 3 seed Reilly Opelka won his second title of the season on Sunday in Houston, Texas, dismissing No. 4 seed John Isner 6-3, 7-6(7).

In a contest featuring two of the tallest players on the circuit, it was Opelka’s recent confidence and more solid ground-game that took him to the finish line during the … encounter.

Slamming 10 aces and withstanding eight from his opponent, Opelka also broke serve on one occasion and saved eight break points.

Improving to 5-1 against Isner in lifetime meetings, Opelka notched his fourth career title as well.

Isner, who was looking to collect his 17th career title, dispatched defending champion Cristian Garin in the semifinals.

Grand Prix Hassan II—Marrakech, Morocco

Former world No. 7 David Goffin won his sixth career title on Sunday in Marrakech, Morocco, defeating Alex Molcan 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Overcoming the loss of the first set, Goffin struck six aces, won 75 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on five occasions.

Tying his head-to-head meetings with Molcan at 1-1, Goffin will move up to No. 47 in the world after his victory. The Belgium star had been in terrible form coming into the event, ranked No. 74 and only 6-9 on the season.

Molcan, who was playing in his second career ATP Tour final, dismissed top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime and No. 6 seed Botic van de Zandschulp earlier in the event. Molcan will move up to No. 50 in the world on Monday with his finals appearance.
