The Field
World No. 1 and 24-time Major winner Novak Djokovic will be ready to defend his title, along with Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, former world No. 1 Daniil Medvedev, Italian favourite Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev and first-time entrant Holger Rune.
This year’s star-studded event will feature record prize money of $4,801,500 to the unbeaten winner.
Looking to lift his seventh year-end title, Djokovic will have to fend off the likes of Alcaraz and Medvedev. Alcaraz did defeat Djokovic in the Wimbledon final earlier this year and Medvedev has got the better of Serbian on five of 15 occasions.
Djokovic Continues to Thrive
Djokovic has shown that age continues to be nothing but a number, and his motivation and skill on court are as high as ever.
Another player to watch this year in Turin is Jannik Sinner. The 22-year-old will have the support of the crowd behind him and with his recent success on Tour this Fall, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be considered as a contender for the title.
