New Balance Unveils New Hard Court Tennis Collection and Introduces the FuelCell 996v7

As the North American hard court swing heats up, New Balance has unveiled its latest head-to-toe tennis collection, featuring the same apparel and footwear that will be worn by many of the sport’s biggest stars throughout the remainder of the 2026 season.

Led by Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff, alongside Tommy Paul, Jordan Thompson and McCartney Kessler, the new collection reflects New Balance’s continued investment in tennis performance and innovation. Designed for both elite athletes and everyday players, the lineup combines modern styling with advanced technology to deliver premium on-court performance.

One of the biggest additions to the collection is the all-new FuelCell 996v7, which headlines New Balance’s footwear offering alongside fresh seasonal colourways of Coco Gauff’s signature shoes, the Coco CG2 and Coco Delray.

FuelCell 996v7 Makes Its Debut

Engineered for players who demand speed without sacrificing stability, the FuelCell 996v7 introduces several key upgrades over previous generations.

The lightweight performance shoe features responsive FuelCell foam to provide a propulsive feel during aggressive movement, while a redesigned external TPU shank delivers enhanced stability through rapid changes of direction. New Balance has also reinforced high-wear areas of the upper and outsole with durable rubber, while strategically placed mesh panels improve breathability and flexibility during long matches.

The FuelCell 996v7 will be available in both hard court (multi-court) and clay court versions, retailing for $135 USD for adults and $70 USD for junior players.

Tour-Inspired Apparel for Every Player

The latest apparel collection will make its on-court debut during the North American summer tournaments, including Washington, Canada and Cincinnati, before transitioning into a new colour palette for the US Open in New York.

For the early hard court events, players will compete in combinations of Heron Blue, North Sea, Altitude and Bright Mint. The US Open collection introduces softer tones including Dawn Glow, Enoki, Mint Water and Silver Moss, while an additional release for the Asian swing featuring Mulled Wine, Fast Track, Pink Chalk and Angora arrives later in the season.

Both the North American and US Open collections launch globally on August 3, while the Asia swing colourway becomes available online and through select retailers beginning September 15.

Performance Meets Classic Tennis Style

From a design perspective, New Balance continues to blend traditional tennis aesthetics with contemporary performance apparel.

Classic details such as pleats, streamlined silhouettes and clean court-inspired lines are paired with lightweight technical fabrics engineered to keep athletes cool throughout demanding matches. Moisture-wicking materials, breathable construction and unrestricted mobility remain central themes throughout the collection.

Men’s Collection

The men’s range includes tournament-ready pieces such as the Tournament NYC Top and Tournament NYC Short, complemented by lifestyle items including the Tournament NYC Hoodie and Graphic T-Shirt. Prices range from $40 to $85 USD, offering players performance apparel suitable for both competition and everyday wear.

Women’s Collection

The women’s lineup has been developed specifically for the movement demands of modern tennis, featuring updated Tournament NYC Tanks, Skorts and Dresses with built-in support, breathable performance fabrics and signature pleated detailing. Practice and lifestyle pieces, including the NYC Hoodie and NYC Graphic T-Shirt, complete the collection, with prices ranging from $40 to $110 USD.

Coco Gauff’s Signature Footwear Returns

Coco Gauff’s signature footwear line also receives seasonal updates, with the Coco CG2 ($160 USD) and Coco Delray($110 USD) arriving in coordinated colourways that complement each apparel collection.

The footwear lineup is rounded out by the Fresh Foam X CT-Rally v2 ($150 USD) and the new FuelCell 996v7, giving players multiple options depending on their playing style and performance preferences.

Fans should also keep an eye on the US Open, where Coco Gauff is expected to debut a custom tournament kit designed specifically for New York. Additional details and imagery of her exclusive look will be revealed once she takes the court.

By combining premium performance technology with timeless tennis styling, New Balance continues to strengthen its position within the sport, delivering professional-level apparel and footwear that allows players of every level to experience the same innovation trusted by many of the game’s biggest stars.
