Musetti Rolls into Queen’s Club Final
Italian Lorezno Musetti continued his great form on grass-courts this season, advancing to the finals of the Queen’s Club event in London, England on Saturday.
Defeating Australian Jordan Thompson 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, Musetti also made the semifinals of the Stuttgart event in Germany last week.
The 22-year-old advanced to his third career final. He had previously won to clay-court event Hamburg, Germany and the hard-court tournament Naples, Italy in 2022.
Thompson, who has had the best year of his career in 2024, will move up to No. 39 in the world on Monday.
Still to come on Saturday, No. 5 seed Tommy Paul will face fellow American Sebastian Korda for a place in Sunday’s final.

Hurkacz Advances to Halle Final
Primed for a great season on the grass courts of Europe, Polish star Hubert Hurkacz has advanced to yet another final in Halle, Germany.
Recording a 7-6(2), 6-4 victory over home-country favourite Alexander Zverev on Saturday, Hurkacz advanced to his 11th career final in one hour and 35 minutes.
Striking 17 aces and winning 75 percent of his first serve points, Hurkacz improved to 2-3 against Zverev in lifetime meetings with his latest victory.
The 27-year-old will next face top seed Jannik Sinner on Sunday. Sinner ousted Zhizhen Zhang 6-4, 7-6(3).
Sinner has made the quarterfinals or better of every event he’s played in 2024.
The Italian is tied with Hurkacz 2-all in their career head-to-head meetings.
