Striking 10 aces and winning 72 percent of his first serve points, Mayer will now see his ranking improve drastically to approximately No. 48 in the world on Monday. The 30-year-old is currently ranked No. 138 on the computer.

No. 4 seed and wildcard entrant Fabio Fognini won his fifth career title on Sunday in Gstaad, Switzerland, defeating Yannick Hanfmann 6-4, 7-5.
