No. 2 seed Nick Kyrgios won his second ATP World Tour title on Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia, defeating top seed John Isner 7-6(3), 7-6(4). Needing one hour and 47 minutes to clinch the crown, Kyrgios saved three break points in his opening service game and never looked back. Winning 82 percent of his first serve points, 67 percent of his second serve points and striking 18 aces, Kygrios improved to 30-11 on the season and will hit a career high ranking of No. 16 on Monday.
Isner, who was looking to win his fourth straight title in Atlanta, fell to 23-15 in 2016.
Both Kyrgios and Isner are next slated to see action at the Cincinnati Masters in Ohio.
