Petra Kvitova completed an impressive two weeks of tennis in Florida on Saturday, capturing her first-ever Miami Open title.
Dispatching reigning Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina 7-6(14), 6-2, Kvitova has cemented herself as a future Hall of Fame champion.
Striking five aces and winning 78 percent of her first serve points, Kvitova broke the serve of her Kazakhstani opponent on three occasions.
Improving her ranking to No. 10 on Monday, Kvitova will now turn her attentions to the clay-courts of Europe to continue her form. The 33-year-old has previously won two Wimbledon titles.
Rybakina, who was looking to claim her second Masters 1000 event in as many weeks, was looking to win her fifth career title.
The 23-year-old will be ranked No. 7 on Monday.
