Korda Defeats Dimitrov at Queen’s Club; Murray Retires Against Thompson
Wednesday’s action at the Queen’s Club event in London, England featured Sebastian Korda needing two hours to dismiss No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
Striking 11 aces, winning 77 percent of his first serve points and breaking serve on two occasions, Korda improved to 2-1 against Dimitrov in lifetime meetings.
Elsewhere, three-time Major winner Andy Murray was forced to withdraw against Jordan Thompson with a back injury. The Brit, who is slated to retire later this Summer, won against Alexei Popyrin on Tuesday.
Murray is scheduled to play at Wimbledon beginning July 1st.
Other winners on the day included Rinky Hijikata. The Australian ousted Matteo Arnaldi 7-6(0), 7-6(7).

Terra Wortmann Open—Halle,Germany
Local hero Jan Lennard Struff needed two hours and 31 minutes to reach the second round in Halle, Germany on Wednesday, dismissing Luciano Darderi 6-7(2), 7-5, 7-6(10).
Struff, who has a potent game that translates well to all surfaces, struck 21 aces, won 90 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on two occasions.
The German will next face No. 6 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas for a place in the quarterfinals.
Other winners on the day included Christopher Eubanks, Arthur Fils and Matteo Berrettini.
