Khachanov Wins Almaty Open; Kasatkina Claims Ningbo Title
No. 3 seed Karen Khachanov recorded his seventh career tournament title on Sunday in Almaty, Kazakhstan, defeating first-time finalist Gabriel Diallo 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.
Needing two hours and 22 minutes to triumph, Khachanov struck six aces, won 69 percent of his first serve points, broke serve on six occasions and added 21 winners to his victory. Moving up to No. 24 in the latest rankings, Khachanov will next see action at the Vienna event in Austria.
Diallo, who had his best week to date as a professional player, will be ranked No. 87 on Monday. He will also gain automatic entry into the 2025 Australian Open.
Former Stockholm Winners Face off on Sunday
Former Stockholm Open winners No. 3 seed Grigor Dimtirov and No. 4 seed Tommy Paul faced off for the title on Sunday.
Needing one hour and 25 minutes to prevail, Paul claimed his fourth career title by a scoreline of 6-4, 6-3.
Paul hit six aces, 19 winners and broke serve on four occasions. The American improved to 2-1 against Dimitrov in lifetime meetings.
Dimitrov, who was aiming to win his second title of the season and ninth overall, defeated No. 9 seed Tallon Griekspoor in three sets on Saturday.
Paul, who owns two titles in 2024, is currently ranked No. 13 in the world. He defeated Stan Wawrinka in two sets in the semifinals.
Bautista Agut Rolls Back the Clock
Former top 10 Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut won his 12th career title on Sunday in Antwerp, Belgium, defeating No. 5 seed Jiri Lehecka 7-5, 6-1.
Bautista Agut withstood 12 aces from his opponent, added 17 winners to his victory and broke serve on four occasions.
The Spaniard will move up to No. 45 in the world when the latest rankings are released.
Lehecka, who is currently ranked No. 28 in the world, claimed his first Tour earlier this year in Adelaide, Australia.
Bautista Agut and Lehecka have played on five occasions, with the Spaniard leading the pair’s head-to-head 4-1.

Ningbo Open—Ningbo, China
No. 5 seed Daria Kasatkina claimed her eighth career singles title on Sunday in Ningbo, China, dismissing fellow Russian Mirra Andreeva 6-0, 4-6, 6-4.
Needing one hour and 54 minutes to capture her crown, Kasatkina broke serve on seven occasions and won 56 percent of the total points in the match.
Andreeva, who continues to be the top prospect in women’s tennis, will move up to a career-high of No. 16 in the world when the latest rankings are released.
The 17-year-old won her maiden title in Iasi, Romania earlier this Summer.
Suzan Lamens Claims First Title in Osaka
Dutch player Suzan Lamens won her first-career title in Osaka, Japan on Sunday, ousting Kimberly Birrell from Australia 6-0, 6-4.
Lamens also defeated No. 7 seed Diane Parry earlier in the day in a rain-delayed semifinal.
Birrell dispatched Japanese favourite Aoi Ito 6-4, 6-3 earlier in the day.
