Sunday’s men’s final at Wimbledon featured an epic tussle between No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz and No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic.

After four and 42 minutes, Alcaraz won his first Wimbledon title, 1-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

Striking 66 winners and winning 70 percent of his first serve points, Alcaraz broke serve on five occasions.

Improving to 2-1 against Djokovic in lifetime meetings, Alcaraz will retain the No. 1 in the world on Monday.

Defeating Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals, Alcaraz will next see action at the National Bank Open in Toronto, Canada.

The year’s Grand Slam season will conclude in New York next month, beginning on August 28th.
