FILA announced today that it has entered into an endorsement agreement with Jamie Loeb, 2015 NCAA Division 1 Champion. In the multi-year relationship, FILA will financially support Loeb as she chases her dream to play professional tennis. Loeb joins an impressive roster of ATP World Tour and WTA Tour players who have worn FILA on-court.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jamie Loeb to the FILA family during this exciting time in her tennis career,” said Jon Epstein, President of FILA USA. “Jamie’s strong character and competitive drive make her primed for great success. We look forward to supporting Jamie as we play a role in her journey to fulfill her longtime goal to play on the WTA Tour.”

“I am honored to join the FILA team, said Loeb. “It’s a dream come true to wear the same brand as so many tennis champions past and present, as I embark on my own pro tennis career.”

Loeb, 20, elected to turn pro after a stellar college career at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and will continue her training at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York. Loeb was ranked No. 1 in the country as a freshman, and she was named the ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year in her second year at UNC. Loeb will wear FILA as she plays fourth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki in the first round of the US Open.

In addition to representing the FILA brand on-court, Loeb will become a part of FILA’s junior mentor program which aims to inspire the next generation of tennis players by connecting them with professional athletes. Jamie’s experience in the NCAA will give young players an interesting perspective on the transition from the collegiate level to professional tennis. Loeb joins Sam Querrey who has already made junior mentor program appearances on FILA’s behalf in Indian Wells, California, and College Park, Maryland.

FILA has a long and distinguished history in the world of tennis that continues with endorsements of ATP World Tour and WTA Tour athletes. FILA is a sponsor of the BNP Paribas Open and the International Tennis Hall of Fame Championships. In addition to event partnerships, FILA is an official supplier to Junior Tennis Champions Center, Van der Meer Tennis and John Newcombe Tennis Ranch.

The FILA brand was established over a century ago by the FILA brothers of Biella, Italy. FILA is now a leading sport and leisure footwear and apparel brand that is distributed worldwide. FILA has achieved world-class recognition in the world of tennis by marketing high design and style content products that are endorsed by professional athletes from around the world.
