(FILA Luxembourg S.à r.l.) – FILA sponsored tennis players will step into the New Year and onto the courts of Melbourne sporting two new collections designed to beat the Aussie heat. The men will don the crisp, clean Legends collection, featuring cool Zen hues and detailing, while the women will debut the Back Court collection, highlighted by sweet citrusy accents that up level traditional navy and lilac tones for an unexpectedly vibrant color combination.

ATP Tour players Reilly Opelka, Diego Schwartzman, Guido Pella, Sam Querrey and Andreas Seppi will take their shot at Australian Open glory wearing the Legends collection in a refreshing color palette of White / Navy / Beach Glass / Paradise. The Ombre Crew provides a unique combination of white and ombre fade, finished with a contrasting navy tape overlay on the sleeve, while the new Rally Crew offers a style that not only looks cool, but keeps you cool with the new lightweight, rally mesh performance fabric. The Legends polo provides serious hard court style with two contrasting styles: the Ombre Stripe Polo, featuring a three button placket and contrasting neck tape; and the Rally Polo, a yarn-dyed, performance mesh polo printed in undulating ocean-hued bands. The Legends Short – available in a color blocked white / paradise or navy / white – perfectly complement any shirt choice.

FILA’s roster of sponsored WTA players, including World No.1 Ash Barty, World No.4 and Defending Champion Sofia Kenin, No.6 Karolina Pliskova, and Defending Doubles Champion Timea Babos, hope to make a splash in February wearing the women’s Back Court line, which features dimensional details in tones of Purple Heather / Marlin Heather / Wild Lime.

Staples of the Back Court collection include the intricately-detailed Full Coverage Tank, which provides a contemporary spin on a FILA classic with peek-a-boo back detailing; the Halter Tank, featuring a curved bottom side seam and unexpected pops of citrus; the Racerback Tank, offered in white, navy or wild lime; and the star-crossed back Cami Tank which gives an edgy contrast to its collection counterparts with wild lime trim. Pair any of the aforementioned tops to either of the two Back Court skorts: the softly scalloped, 13.5 inch A-Line offered in white, purple heather and marlin heather; and the 14.5 inch Flare offered in white / marlin heather / wild lime or marlin heather / purple heather / wild lime. Completing the ladies’ lineup is the staple slim cut stand collar jacket and tailored navy jogger with contrast space dye panel at the side and ankle.

The men’s shoe makes a bold statement in a colorway of White / FILA Navy / Beach Glass, while the women’s shoe offers a compelling combination of White / FILA Navy / Wild Lime that pairs back perfectly to the electric Back Court line. FILA’s popular performance tennis shoe continues to propel the brand’s roster of sponsored players to unparalleled on-court success – including four of the current top ten-ranked players in the world on the WTA Tour.
