Top seeded Roger Federer won his 103rd career title in his hometown of Switzerland on Sunday, defeating Australian Alex de Minaur 6-2, 6-2 in one hour and eight minutes.
Capturing his 10th title in Basel, Federer flew out of the gates and imposed his experience and power over his younger opponent. Hitting four aces, Federer never faced a break point during the encounter and added four breaks of serve to complete his victory.
Winning his fourth title of 2019, Federer will next see action at the Paris Masters in France.
De Minaur, who was attempting to win his fourth title of the year, is currently ranked No. 28 in the world.

Erste Bank Open—Vienna, Austria
Top seed Dominic Thiem capped off a great week of action in his home country on Sunday, defeating Diego Schwartzman 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 to win the Erste Bank Open.
Needing two hours and 25 minutes to seal his victory, Thiem won 76 percent of his first serve points while adding nine aces. Improving to 5-2 against Schwartzman in lifetime meeting, Thiem also won his fifth title of 2019.
Schwartzman, who was attempting to win his fourth career title, fell to 3-7 in championship matches.
