Djokovic Reaches Fourth Round
Saturday’s action-packed day at Wimbledon saw seven-time winner Novak Djokovic reached the fourth round of the event, defeating Alexei Popyrin 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(3).
Needing three hours and five minutes to prevail, Djokovic struck 53 winners, won 88 percent of his first serve points and broke the serve of his Australian opponent on two occasions.
Aiming to win his 25th career Major, Djokovic will next face No. 15 seed Holger Rune.
Rune dismissed Quentin Halys in five sets.
Other winners on Saturday included No. 4 seed Alexander Zverev, No. 5 seed Daniil Medvedev, No. 9 seed Alex de Minaur, No. 16 seed Ugo Humbert, No. 25 seed Lorenzo Musetti, Arthur Fils, Roberto Bautista Agut and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

Swiatek Ousted in Round of 16
Five-time Major winner and top seed Iga Swiatek was ousted in the third round of Wimbledon on Saturday, losing to Yulia Putintseva 3-6, 6-1, 6-2
The Hame-of-Fame Pole lost her serve on four occasions during the one hour and 59 minute encounter.
Putintseva will next face No. 13 seed Jelena Ostapenko.
Ostapenko dedeated Bernarda Pera of the United States in 59 minutes.
Other women’s winners on the day included No. 4 seed Elena Rybakina, No. 11 seed Danielle Collins, No. 21 seed Elina Svitolina, No. 17 seed Kalinskaya, No. 31 seed Barbora Krejcikova and Xinyu Wang.
With rain hampering the first week of The Championships, Sunday’s schedule promises to be another full day of world-class tennis.
Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Emma Raducanu and Coco Gauff headline the day’s action.
