Rio Open presented by Claro—Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Laslo Djere captured his maiden ATP Tour title on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, defeating youngster Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 7-5.

Upsetting top seed Dominic Thiem in round one, Djere showed off his clay court prowess by breaking the Canadians serve on six occasions throughout the two hour match.

Losing both of his parents to cancer, Djere entered this week’s action in Rio with a 1-4 record on the season. The 23-year-old Serbian is set to reach a career high ranking of approximately 43 in the world on Monday.

Auger-Aliassime, who was making his first Tour level final, was the youngest player ever at 18 to reach the final round of a ATP Tour 500 event.

Open 13 Provence—Marseille, France

Top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas notched his second career ATP Tour title on Sunday in Marseille, France, dismissing Mikhail Kukushkin 7-5, 7-6(5). In a tightly contested encounter, Tsitsipas smacked 14 aces and used his one-handed backhand down-the-line to great effect against his speedy opponent. Winning 84 percent of his first serve points, the young Greek star also broke serve on two occasions.

Tsistipas is set to hit a career high of No. 11 in the world on Monday.

Kukushkin, who was looking to win his second-career title, defeated Denis Shapovalov and Andrey Rublev earlier in the week.

Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com—Delray Beach, FL, U.S.A.

Radu Albot claimed his first-career title on the ATP Tour on Sunday, dispatching Daniel Evans 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(7) in Delray Beach, Florida.

In a tightly contested encounter that lasted nearly three hours, Albot used his court speed and consistent baseline game to offset the slice of his opponent. Winning 68 percent of his second serve points, Albot became the first player from Moldova to ever win a Tour title. The 29-year-old also defeated Steve Johnson and Nick Kyrgios earlier in the event.

Evans, who has been making his way back on Tour after a drug suspension, dismissed top seed John Isner in the semifinals.
