Basilashvili Wins Munich Title; Ramos-Vinolas Captures Estoril Crown

Hard-hitting Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili won his second ATP Tour event of the season on Sunday in Munich, Germany, defeating hometown favourite Jan-Lennard Struff 6-4, 7-6(5). Needing one hour and 26 minutes to prevail, Basilashvili hit six aces, won 79 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on one occasion. Improving to 3-2 lifetime against Struff, Basilashvili now holds five career titles. Basilashvili will improve to No. 31 in the world on Monday.

Struff, who was making his first appearance in a Tour final, defeated No. 4 seed Filip Krajinovic earlier in the event.

Millennium Estoril Open—Estoril, Portugal

No. 7 seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas notched his third career title on Sunday in Estoril, Portugal, dispatching Brit Cameron Norrie 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(3).

Needing two hours and 44 minutes to collect his crown, Ramos-Vinolas struck eight aces, won 66 percent of his second serve points and broke Norrie’s serve on four occasions. Improving to 3-0 against his opponent in lifetime meetings, Ramos-Vinolas will see his ranking hit No. 37 in the world on Monday.

Norrie, who was playing in his second career final, dispatched Cristian Garin and Marin Cilic earlier in the tournament. The Brit will be ranked No. 48 in the world on Monday.
