Saturday’s action at the Tiriac Open presented by UniCredit Bank in Bucharest, Romania featured top seed Sebastian Baez reaching his third final of the year, defeating defending champion Marton Fucsovics 6-2, 6-2.
In a straight forward encounter that latest one hour and 24 minutes, Baez hit one ace, nine winners, won 67 percent of his first serve points and broke his Hungarian opponent on four occasions.
Currently ranked No. 33 in the world, Baez will next face either No. 3 seed Flavio Cobolli or Damir Dzumhur from Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday.

Semifinal matches in Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday will feature No. 5 seed Roberto Carballes Baena taking on No. 7 seed Luciano Darderi, and top seed Tallon Griekspoor facing Kamil Majchrzak from Poland.
Griekspoor, who is the overwhelming favourite to take the title this weekend, entered the event ranked No. 37 in the world. The 27-year-old has a 13-6 record on the season.

Saturday’s men’s semifinal action at the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship in Houston, Texas will feature top seed top Tommy Paul going up against qualifier Jenson Brooksby and former winner and No. 2 seed Frances Tiafoe taking on fourth seed Brandon Nakashima.
Paul will be aiming for his fifth career title this weekend, while Tiafoe will be going for his fourth. Nakashima has one Tour title to his credit, while Brooksby is still in search of his first.
The U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship is the only ATP Tour red clay court event held in the United States.

Pegula Leads Saturday’s Charge in Charleston
Top seed and US Open finalist Jessica Pegula will look to make her second-straight final on Tour on Saturday, facing No. 4 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova from Russia.
Trailing her opponent 2-1 in head-to-head matches, Pegula will have the confidence of recently reaching the finals of the Miami Open.
Alexandrova ousted Olympic Gold Medalist Qinwen Zheng in the quarterfinals.
The day’s second semifinal will feature former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin taking on No. 8 seed Amanda Anisimova.
