Miami Open—Key Biscayne, Florida
No. 13 seed Victoria Azarenka won her second title in row on the WTA on Saturday, defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-3, 6-2 at the Miami Open. Needing one hour and 18 minutes to complete her victory, Azarenka hit two aces and broke serve on seven occasions. Improving to 5-4 against her Russian opponent in head-to-head meetings, Azarenka will move up to No. 5 in the world when the latest rankings are released. The 27-year-old has now won three titles in 2016 and holds a singles record of 22-1.
Kuznetsova, who had defeated top seed Serena Williams earlier in the event, was looking for her second title in Miami after capturing the crown in 2006 over Maria Sharapova.
