Top seed Carlos Alcaraz won his first-career grass-court title in London, Great Britain on Sunday, defeating Australian Alex de Minaur 6-4, 6-4.
Needing one hours and 39 minutes to seal his victory, Alcaraz struck 15 winners, won 72 percent of his first serve points and broke the serve of his opponent on two occasions.
Improving to 2-0 against de Minaur in lifetime meetings, Alcaraz now owns five titles on the season. The 20-year-old will return to the world No. 1 ranking on Monday over Novak Djokovic.
De Minaur, who was looking for his eighth career title, defeated Holger Rune and Andy Murray earlier in the event. The 24-year-old will be ranked No. 16 in the world heading into Wimbledon.

Terra Wortmann Open—Halle, Germany
Unseeded Alexander Bublik captured his second-career title on Sunday in Halle, Germany, dismissing No. 3 seed Andrey Rublev 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
In a match that lasted one and 35 minutes, Bublik struck 21 aces, won 91 percent of his first serve points and hit 42 total winners.
Winning his first match against Rublev in four career meetings, the 26-year-old will be ranked No. 27 (career high) on Monday.
Rublev, who was aiming to win his 14th career title, fell to 0-2 in Halle finals. The 25-year-old lost in the Halle final in 2021 to French Open Ugo Humbert.
Final preparations for the Wimbledon Championships will take place next week in Eastbourne, Great Britain and Mallorca, Spain.
