Agnieszka Radwanska saved her best tennis for the final at the 2015 BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, defeating Petra Kvitova in a thrilling three-set match. The Polish fan-favorite pulled out her bag of tricks (and trick shots) to claim her debut WTA Finals title on her seventh try after initially falling behind 0-2 in round robin play.
“It was an incredible day for me,” said Radwanska. “Especially since a few weeks ago I didn’t think I had any chance to be here. And now I won the final and am holding the trophy – so it’s the biggest day of my life.”
The legendary duo of Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza put on an absolute masterclass in front of a packed Singapore Indoor Stadium, defeating Muguruza/Suarez Navarro 6-0, 6-3. This is Mirza’s second straight WTA Finals doubles title and Hingis’ third, her last one coming in 2000.
“It’s incredible,” said Hingis. “Today was a perfect day.”
“On-court, off-court we try to have a lot of fun,” added Mirza. “We try to enjoy these moments together.”
