Top Tennis Players of the 21st Century with the Most Grand Slams

Winning a grand slam is something every tennis player hopes to achieve. But who is the tennis player with the most Grand Slams? There have been some legendary players vying to be among the tennis players with most Grand Slams in history but only a few have come close.

The 2025 Grand Slams are highly awaited by fans, who will be able to follow events like Roland Garros and Wimbledon and check odds for Grand Slams on the ESPN online sportsbook.

Who Has the Most Grand Slams?

To even get close on the list of tennis players with the most Grand Slams, you have to have at least 20. Only three players have managed that in the history of tennis, which should tell you how great they are. Let’s get into the tennis players with most Grand Slams and their impact on the game.

Roger Federer. Roger Federer is third on the list of the tennis players with the most Grand Slams with an impressive 20. He was considered the GOAT (greatest of all-time) for years until the two players below him.

He turned pro in 1998 and eventually retired in 2022, racking up an impressive list of accolades. He had six wins at the Australian Open, eight at Wimbledon, five at the U.S. Open, and a lone win at the French Open to give him a Grand Slam of Grand Slams.

Rafael Nadal. Next up with 22 Grand Slam titles is the legendary Rafael Nadal. He has a record 14 French Open titles, a mark that isn’t likely to be met. He’s been in competition with Federer virtually his entire career as well.

Nadal has four U.S. Open titles, a pair of Australian Open wins, and two victories at Wimbledon. He has done it all in his career and will be one of the greatest to ever play the game, creating a standard for lefties that may never be beat.

Novak Djokovic. The Serbian-born Djokovic has the most career Grand Slam titles ever with a whopping 24. As impressive as his three French Open and four U.S. Open titles are, it is his work at the Australian Open and Wimbledon that really stands out.

“Joker” has a whopping seven titles at Wimbledon, including four in five years from 2018-2022. He also has a whopping 10 Australian Open victories, showing an unparalleled level of dominance at the event. All in all, these three have set a pace that no one may be able to match. They are the only three in history with 20 Grand Slams and are far ahead of the rest.

Next up. More than a few players are looking to replace the old guard. Carlos Alcaraz Garfia is a budding star, as is Holger Rune and current world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Though it will be tough to hit 20 career Grand Slams, the current crop has the talent to leave their mark on the history of the game.
