Australian Nick Kyrgios will make his long-awaited return to the ATP Tour next week in Stuttgart, Germany, where he will take part in the BOSS Open.
The Wimbledon finalist has been out-of-action since last fall, and missed the year’s first Major in Melbourne, along with the French Open.
The 26-year-old, who remains one of the most popular and watched players on the circuit, lost a thrilling four set encounter to eventual winner Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon in 2022.
Possessing one of the biggest serves in the game, Kyrgios has defeated the likes of Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer throughout his career. It is therefore not surprising that many Sportsbooks including Barstool are positioning him as one of the favourites to win even after such a long absence.
The Canberra native owns seven career titles and most recently won the singles title at the Citi Open in Washington, D.C. last summer.
Currently ranked No. 26 in the world, Kyrgios has been ranked as high as No. 13 on the computer rankings.
Win or lose, Kyrgios continues to sell out areas world-wide with this explosive and engaging brand of tennis. Known for loving basketball and the Boston Celtics, Kyrgios’s on-court attire regularly mimics that of a world-class basketball athlete.
The Australian is slated to play a full grass-court season, followed by a two-month trip to the hard-courts of North America.
