Jack Sock Wins Paris Masters Over Krajinovic

Rolex Paris Masters-Paris, France

American Jack Sock won the biggest title of his career on Sunday in Paris, France, defeating Filip Krajinovic 5-7, 6-4, 6-1. Needing to overcome the loss of the first set, Sock began to use his inside out forehand to great effect before breaking down the will of Serbian opponent. Striking nine aces and winning 71 percent of his total service points, Sock broke serve on six occasions, while losing his own delivery three times. Needing one hour and 57 minutes to claim his third title of 2017, Sock also broke into the top 10 for the first time with his victory and also secured his spot in the ATP World Tour Finals in London, England later this month.

Krajinovic, who had a dream week of his own, qualified for the event before defeating the likes of Sam Querrey, Nicolas Mahut and John Isner en-route to the finals. He also received a walkover from top seed Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. The 25-year-old will see his ranking hit a career high of No. 33 in the world on Monday as a result of his performance in Paris. He is currently ranked No. 77.
